There is no contact form on this site, and there never will be. A form means a database, a database means stored personal data, and stored data is a thing that can be lost. E-mail costs you one click more and costs us nothing to keep honest.

Everything below goes to that address. Say in the subject which of these it is, and it gets handled faster.

If you areSendWhat happens
A reader who found an error The page, the sentence, and what the correct fact is Fixed within a week; the change is logged with a date and your name, unless you ask otherwise
A safe technician The eight items on the application page Checked against public registers, then listed — free, and position is not for sale
A manufacturer Certificates, model designations, corrections to your entry Entry updated the same week; if you disagree with something correct, your reply is published beside it
A rights holder The document and the right you hold Removed from the archive while we check. No argument, no delay
Someone with an old catalogue A photograph or a scan, and where it came from Added to the archive with your credit, if the rights allow it
Locked out of a safe right now Nothing — go to the help pages instead We cannot open your safe by e-mail, and anyone who says they can is selling something

For anything about this site's own security: a certificate issued for this domain that we did not ask for, a page that differs from what the repository says it should be, a redirect that should not exist. The full policy is published at /.well-known/security.txt.

What we do not want from you Your name, unless you want it published with a correction. Your address. Your telephone number. Photographs of the inside of your safe. Serial numbers of anything you own — we cannot verify ownership by e-mail, and a stranger's serial number is not information we want to hold.
What we will not answer Requests for opening techniques, drilling points, manipulation or reset sequences — including polite ones, including ones that come with a story. The answer is the same every time: a licensed technician, who will ask you for proof of ownership.

Postal and legal

This site is run by one person, not a company. Registrant details are held by the registrar and shielded from the public WHOIS, as is standard. For matters that genuinely require a postal address — legal notices, formal correspondence — write to the desk first and it will be provided.

Unofficial and unaffiliated with any film, studio, manufacturer or certification body named on this site. Trade marks are used descriptively. See method & disclosure.
