Which lock do I have?

The safe has one name on the outside and a different one on the lock — and it is the lock's name that decides everything: which battery, which dialling sequence, which manual. Look at your dial or keypad and find it below.

Where the name is written On a dial, around the ring or under the index mark. On a keypad, on the face or moulded into the housing. If there is no name at all, photograph the keypad shape and the dial numbering — those two details identify most locks in use today.

Rule that applies to all of them: fresh alkaline only. A rechargeable 9 V cell sits at a lower voltage and reproduces exactly the fault you are trying to clear. Makers advise an annual change whether or not the battery is flat.

Why we link out instead of hosting These manuals belong to their makers. We link to the original file on the manufacturer's own server wherever it exists, so that you get the current revision and they get the traffic. Where only a third-party mirror exists, we say so in the link. Nothing here is re-hosted, and no page on this site contains bypass information.

Missing your lock? Write to the desk with a photograph of the dial or keypad and the safe's plate. Added models are credited to whoever sent them in, unless asked otherwise.
