Safe technicians in Austria
Grade 0 and I dominate domestic storage; Wertheim has been making safes in Vienna since 1852 and its old models still turn up.
Where these came from
Republished from the ECB·S public list of companies audited to R11 for service,
repair and modification of certified secure storage units. They did not apply to us,
and this desk has added nothing to that audit — the entry says exactly what the audit says.
Any company that would rather not appear here has only to write, and it goes.

Trade registers that work today
| Register | Scope |
|---|---|
| SAVTA — Safe and Vault Technicians Association | International, US-based. Founded 1986, a division of ALOA. The only association devoted specifically to safe and vault work rather than door locks. |
| ALOA Security Professionals Association | US, founded 1955. Runs education and certification for locksmiths. |
| Find a Locksmith (ALOA) | ALOA's public search for member locksmiths. |
| Master Locksmiths Association — Find a Locksmith | United Kingdom. Members are vetted and inspected; the register is public and free to search. |
| ECB·S — Audited Service Companies (R11) | Europe. Companies audited to ECBS R11 for service, repair and modification of certified secure storage units — the only external audit aimed specifically at safe servicing. |
We link to these rather than copying them. A register run by an association that inspects its members is worth more than a list scraped by us.
